What this site collects, what it does not, and how to have it removed.

This policy covers swatandsnap.com, published by Magoo Media Group. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
The short version
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell data, and the only personal information we ever hold is what you type into the contact form. Analytics is aggregate. Affiliate links are how the site is funded, and following one hands you to the retailer, whose own privacy policy then applies.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you chose and your message. That is used to reply to you and for nothing else. It reaches an email inbox operated by Magoo Media Group.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are followed, in aggregate. It sets cookies and records information such as approximate location (city level), device type, browser, referring site, and the pages visited. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we do not combine it with contact-form submissions.
We also record when an affiliate link is clicked, as an aggregate event. That tells us which recommendations readers act on. It is not tied to an individual.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. The contact form uses the requesting IP address for rate limiting — held in memory, briefly, and never stored in a database.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, no passwords, no payment details — you never buy anything from us.
- No newsletter list at launch. If one is added, subscribing will be an explicit opt-in.
- No advertising network cookies. There are no display ads on this site.
- Nothing from anyone we know to be a child.
Affiliate links and cookies
When you follow a product link, you pass through a redirect on this domain which adds our affiliate tag, and then on to the retailer. The retailer — Amazon at launch — may set its own cookie so that a later purchase is attributed to us. That cookie is the retailer's, governed by the retailer's privacy policy, and we never see your order details, your payment information, or what you actually bought.

This site sets no advertising cookies of its own.
How long we keep things
Contact-form emails are kept for as long as they are useful for correspondence and corrections, and deleted on request. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' own retention settings. Rate-limiting data lives in memory and disappears within the hour.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected, or to ask for it to be deleted. In practice, for this site, that means the emails you have sent us. Write to contact@swatandsnap.com and we will action it.
If you would rather not be counted in analytics at all, a browser-level blocker or your browser's own privacy settings will stop the script loading. The site works exactly the same either way.
Children
This site is written for adults dealing with a pest problem. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it. Substantive changes will be noted on the page.
