Swat & Snap earns affiliate commission. When you follow a link from this site to a retailer and buy something, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid without the link.

This is the site's only source of revenue. There are no ads, no sponsored posts and no paid placements.

The Amazon Associates statement

Swat & Snap is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

How the links work

Every outbound product link on this site is marked. Concretely:

• Links carry rel="sponsored nofollow", which tells search engines the link is commercial.
• Product links pass through a redirect at /go/ on this domain, which adds our affiliate tag and forwards you to the retailer. The redirect is not indexed by search engines.
• A disclosure appears above the first affiliate link on every page that carries one — not only in the footer.

Why there are no prices on this site

Retail prices change constantly, and a price printed into a page is wrong within days. We will only show a price that can be pulled live from the retailer, with the date it was checked attached.

The live price feed is built and wired into every buy button on this site, but it is not switched on yet. Until it is, every button reads "Check price on Amazon" and sends you to the retailer to see the current price. That is a deliberate choice: an out-of-date number that looks authoritative is worse than no number.

For the same reason you will not find star ratings or review counts here. We have no verified ratings data, so publishing one would mean making it up.

What commission does not influence

The order of picks, the products included, and the verdict.

Two pages on this site make that checkable rather than asking you to take it on trust:

• Do bug zappers work? is the page most likely to sell a bug zapper, and it opens by citing the University of Florida finding that almost nothing a zapper kills is a mosquito.
• Is there pet-safe rat poison? answers a high-intent shopping query by explaining why you should buy something else.

Both of those pages would earn more written the other way. The methodology explains how picks are actually made.

Which retailers

At launch, Amazon only. If we add another retailer, a link to it will be disclosed in exactly the same way on the page it appears.
